The successful candidate will have a technical background, combined with client consulting skills. The Technical Business Advisor will build and maintain knowledge of an assigned set of clients in terms of their business. Provides a comprehensive understanding of the technical aspects of our company’s products and services and how they integrate into the customer’s operations and needs.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

  • Provides consultancy to an assigned set of clients, helping them to understand their project needs with solutions that maximize TSYS’ revenue.
  • Provides system/product consultancy support to clients and educate clients on system features and functionality where required.
  • Liaising with internal teams for consulting (solutions team, BAMs, Knowledge Transfer, release management, compliance, documentation).
  • Recommends alternative solutions within the client strategy. Understands client needs and impacts to their systems.
  • Works with relationship managers, change management team, operations for desired solutions.
  • Participates and may lead client facing meetings, to determine solution approaches, pipeline and business needs.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Database skills in Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Analytical with problem solving skills with the ability to learn new technologies.
  • Educated to degree level in an IT related subject such as Computer Science or MIS.
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to interact with both Business and IT partners to define, understand and evaluate business requirements and resolve issues.
  • Conversant with MS Office & Flowcharting – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.

Knowledge / experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

  • Experience in software analysis and programming in the Payment Systems industry.
  • Additional programming skills in C, C++, ANSI C or VB.NETASP.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio Knowledge of UNIX/Linux Operating Systems are considered as an advantage.
