An opportunity has arisen for a Software Engineer Consultant to join our Solutions Group/ Online team in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinates solution design, problem resolution and management, application maintenance, project requests and system enhancements
• Primary technical escalation point of contact for the management of project, client, and system issues that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors and/or multiple components
• Assumes project management role and/or Subject Matter Expert, is the technical authority resolving complex issues
• Participates in client facing meetings and internal development team working sessions to determine solution approaches
• Interacts with a diverse range of leaders, including senior management, executive leadership and clients to determine solution approaches
• Tracks assigned tasks to keep on schedule. Identifies additional resource needs and advises management of need based on work prioritization
• Reviews deliverables for content, accuracy, and potential system impacts for assigned tasks. Reviews deliverables for alignment with objectives and provides feedback and recommendations.

The successful candidate should have the following experience and skills:

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in coding, designing and developing
• Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, MIS, or related work experience / SME knowledge in lieu of a degree
• Expert business knowledge and how the technology s/he is leading provides solutions to the business
• Experience in CI/CD tools, creating Docker Containers, Kubernetes development, managing Kubernetes applications will be consider an advantage
• Expert technical knowledge – in depth technical skills in Cloud Platforms, Linux, any of C++, C#, Java,  JEE, HTML, XML, CSS, ASP.NET, Razor, Ajax, MVC, , PL-SQL,  JavaScript, Servlets, Bootstrap, Kafka and Oracle
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
