CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Financial Services Group that specialise in Online Trading & Investment Services, we are seeking to recruit a Regulatory Compliance Officer to join their expanding team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will possess a minimum of 3+ years working within a Compliance Officer role within a regulated Investment Firm (Forex Company) and be a holder of the CySEC Advanced Certification. Experience with CySEC reporting and deep understanding of CySEC Regulations and MIFID are key requirements of this position.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assessing and ongoing monitoring of the constant compliance of the company with all applicable regulatory and legislative provisions.
- Assist in obtaining new licenses in other jurisdictions.
- Ensuring that the company continues to remain in compliance with CySEC’s regulations.
- Work closely with all departments to ensure continued compliance in unison.
- Keeping up to date with regulatory requirements and guidelines and assisting with updating company procedures and polices where necessary, to ensure continued compliance.
- Being responsible for the firm fulfilling their annual obligations and license conditions.
- Providing detailed situation reports and updates to BOD on all matters being handled.
- Guidance and support to business units on compliance/regulatory matters.
- Preparing regular reports and strategic direction to senior management regarding compliance matters.
- Coordinating various regulatory filings.
- Developing compliance policies and audit program procedures.
- Focusing on internal compliance policy review, including ongoing assessments, assisting with compliance review, internal audit reviews and ongoing or ad hoc reviews.
- Working with in-house and external advisories to monitor, and then implement responses to, regulatory developments that impact the businesses.
- Assisting in the development of training materials.
- Collaborating with other departments on special projects and special compliance projects as necessary.
- Carrying out the necessary studies to ensure compliance with the regulations and providing necessary communication and coordination with regulators.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Degree in Law, Economics, or any other relevant field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Compliance Officer role within a CIF regulated company or in a Consulting Firm.
- CySEC Advanced Certificate.
- AML Certificate.
- Fluent in English language – reading, writing and spoken – is a must.
- Experience with CySEC reporting and deep understanding of CySEC Regulations and MIFID.
- Experience with licensing in other jurisdictions and international compliance.
- Ability to take on projects and complete the necessary research.
- Excellent knowledge of the Financial Markets.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
- An analytical mindset with excellent organizations skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Ability to deliver and complete reports and tasks, fast and accurate.
