Position

This position requires a self-motivated team player with an end-user perspective to work with the software development team. Suitable for candidates who are methodical and passionate about delivering quality solutions, and who will possess excellent attention to detail, as the testing process is a crucial part of the development cycle. To ensure that high quality and accuracy is maintained through the software release.

Reporting:

Reporting to the Project Manager and working alongside our existing team of web/mobile developers, you will help to ensure that the work that is produced is of a high quality and directly meets the needs of the business

Description

The individual will be introduced and become familiar with the products, technologies and standards used within the company. As a QA Engineer, you are involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment – testing of software guidelines and standards and to ensure the software is fit for purpose.

Activities

• Review requirements, specifications and technical design to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Prioritizing QA issues and facilitate issue resolution
• To test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results.
• Analyze failures and collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure root cause is investigated
• To provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the quality requirements. Ultimately, you should monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or relevant Field

Technical Skills

• Experience 2-3 years in testing web/mobile applications – an advantage
• Experience of manual testing

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment utilizing good judgement and initiative
