CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a long established and expanding provider of Audit & Accounting services to both local and international clients, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Client Accountant to join their team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will ideally hold a relevant academic background relating to Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and be either Part or Fully ACCA/ACA Qualified. You will possess approximately 3+ years of demonstrable experience within a client accounting role and be fluent in both Greek & English. You will support and mentor more junior members of the team and there are prospects for the right candidate to reach a more senior, managerial level over time.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintain books and records and manage a portfolio of clients (both local but mainly international business).
• Good Knowledge and Understanding of the VAT legislation.
• Deal with complex accounting transactions and advise on recording of records.
• Liaise with the auditors and ensure of the accuracy of the accounting information to be handed over.
• Review/oversee portfolio of accounting clients (depending on level of experience).
• Train and coach new Trainee Employees.
• Preparation of the audit file and Financial Statements (Caseware) for sending to the Auditors.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance, Economics, Business Management or another related field.
• ACCA/ACA Qualified or Part Qualified will be considered an added advantage.
• Deep understanding of the reporting of complex financial transactions.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience in Client Accounting is essential.
• Confident individual, able to communicate in a clear and effective manner.
• Excellent knowledge of Greek and English (Written & Spoken).
