Job Overview
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Immigration Assistant, Human Resource reviews, maintains and manages employee data and records as well as manages several HR processes pertaining to the employee cycle.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages the visa process and liaises with migration agents for visa application processing
- Liaises with employees and candidates to collect all necessary migration documents for entry permits and ensures that they understand the relocation procedure
- Coordinates employee accommodation and transportation upon their arrival to Cyprus
- Informs employees regarding visa expiration dates and work closely with them to renew their visa
- Engages with new employees, collects and records all required data and documentation
- Manages and updates HR databases with different information such as new hires, terminations, sick leaves, warnings, vacation and days off
- Files, scans and records employee documents on the company’s HRIS
- Works closely with Talent Acquisition and Compensation & Benefits to ensure accurate recording of employee data
- Provides on-going support to company employees as and when required
- Ensures that all required information to perform his/her duties is collated in a timely fashion
- Represents HR in his/her activity areas when dealing with other business units of the Company and external organizations within his/her competence
- Participates in discussion of issues relating to HR Department activities
- Performs ad hoc functions as may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Diploma or Degree in HR or another relevant subject is preferred
- At least 5-year work experience in Immigration
- Good understanding of HR functions
- Experience with processes related to Relocation, Immigration requirements, Social Insurance requirements
- Ability to implement HR policy and procedure
Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent MS Office proficiency
- Knowledge of enterprise HRIS
- Excellent Communication skills especially in writing
- Ability to collect, analyse, organize and communicate information
- Excellent Teamwork qualities
- Ability to work well with deadlines
- Good people skills
- Displays high commitment to internal customer service
- Ability to plan and organize activities
- Good understanding of Cyprus and EU employment law
