The Company

On behalf of a client of ours, a leader in the International Education industry, we are looking to recruit an HR Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the ideal candidate will be a member of the Leadership Team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set a clear direction for HR Operations, enabling delivery of the HR plan.
  • Lead and ensure that the HR budget is aligned with the business.
  • Manage Business expenditure within agreed budget.
  • Provide general HR consultative services for employees and management at site locations.
  • Ensure legal HR practices and procedures are met.
  • Implement processes and procedures which allow safe growth to our company.
  • In case of acquisition, contribute to audit and manage integration.
  • Develop and maintain effective internal relationships with key players, in particular with Heads of schools.
  • Develop and implement training policy to develop staff performance. Adapt the global strategy if needed.
  • Support recruitment processes when needed and on boarding/off boarding of staff members.

 

Skills/Qualifications/ Experience

  • Bachelor degree in any discipline (a degree or postgraduate degree or CIPD in Human Resources will be an advantage)
  • Demonstrated HR operational experience. 10 years minimum.
  • Fluent in Greek and English, with written skills for both.
  • Nice to have previous experience as HR Business Partner.
  • Hands on Mentality.
  • Solid problem solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Leadership and autonomy.
  • Considers Human resources as a service center for staff to meet company’s ambitions.
  • Previous experience of managing several locations in fast paced environments.
  • Integration of new business.
  • Ability to think and plan operationally and strategically.
  • Up to date knowledge of employment law and HR practices.
  • Influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Financial and budgetary management.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills at all levels in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Leadership skills and ability to empower, motivate and to create a positive, inclusive team ethos.
  • Availability to travel.

 

Location: 

The position is for the Client’s offices in Nicosia, Cyprus
