Job Overview

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, a Top-Tier Law Firm based in Cyprus practising EU and Cyprus Law in the areas of Corporate, Competition, IP and Finance Law amongst others, we are seeking to recruit a Corporate Lawyer to join their expanding team based in Nicosia. The successful applicant will be a member of the Cyprus Bar Association and possess approximately 2+ years of experience in the areas of Corporate & Commercial law with exposure to Transactional Law, including Corporate Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. Excellent communication skills in Greek & English are essential.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and reviewing key documents relating to Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Share Purchase Agreements and more.  
  • Drafting and negotiating legal opinions customarily required by banks.
  • Research and advice on finance related matters with respect to enforcement, priority and security.
  • Ongoing communication with international law firms and international banks.
  • Registering security required by applicable law.
  • Corporate law advice, with a focus on the Cyprus Companies Law and related case law.
  • Due diligence of corporate affairs of Cypriot companies.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • LLB and/or LLM educational background.
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.
  • Holders of the LPC are encouraged to apply.
  • 2+ years of post-qualification experience in Corporate & Commercial Law as described above.
  • Any prior experience with Corporate Litigation is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in Greek & English are a must.
  • Ability to work well and perform under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
