Job Overview
SUMMARY: This position provides administrative support for the Department of Art, Media and Design, at the Cyprus Academy of Art. This is a part-time or full time, 12-month position that reports to the Director of CAA and works closely with the Academic Director and Program Directors of the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate all department events, workshops, seminars, fairs, lectures.
- Provide support for promotion of departmental concerts and events, including placing calendar listings, designing posters, writing registration pages, writing emails, designing programs, and attending events.
- Assist with departmental accreditation needs (including maintaining student files, audition sheets, and portfolio items).
- Coordinate prospective student Interviews.
- Manage departmental office operations (e.g., process check requests and invoices, schedule rooms, submit maintenance requests, assist with department meetings, and maintain accurate records.
- This position involves occasional evening and weekend duties.
- Other duties and special projects may be assigned to meet department or university needs.
Qualifications Experience, Knowledge, and Skills
- Superb student/client service orientation, responding to requests in a helpful and accurate manner, striving to exceed expectations
- Proficient in computer and office software (including Office 365 and preferably Design Programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English and Greek Language
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with others
- Ability to consistently exercise considerable tact, judgment, and diplomacy while maintaining exemplary poise and professionalism
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands and changing priorities
- Must possess a strong, self-driven work ethic that includes taking initiative and seeing assignments through to completion with attention to detail
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and control large and small projects through to completion
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to accept direction on assignments and respond appropriately to feedback
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent in education and experience combined
