Job Overview

We are currently seeking to recruit an Academic & Quality Assurance Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the implementation of the University’s mechanisms and procedures for the approval of periodic reviews and revisions of the academic programs of study and learning. The successful candidate will facilitate the process and assist the Rectorate and the Schools in the implementation of the University’s procedures related to quality monitoring.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate actions and procedures for the completion of programmatic, departmental and institutional accreditation and validation
  • Coordinate quality assurance procedures and documentation
  • Support the academic management in the implementation of University procedures related to quality monitoring
  • Coordinate with internal academic teams, regulatory and professional bodies for program validations, accreditations and audits
  • Coordinate and organize information for internal quality assurance processes, and in collaboration with the University Committee of Internal Quality Assurance
  • Review and update quality assurance information published
  • Design and develop quality assurance material, resources, activities, data sources, etc.
  • Undertake actions and oversee the procedures pertaining to the submission of data for international University rankings
  • Coordinate the Internal Faculty Professional Development programs
  • Coordinate the implementation of the surveys on student feedback
  • Provide statistical and other information on the operation, monitoring, evaluation and management of the University’s programs of study

Qualifications:

  • University qualifications (Bachelor and Master) in a related field (Quality Assurance, Business, Project Management)
  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience in quality assurance processes preferably in higher education
  • Experience and knowledge of Quality Assurance Standards, including the European Standard and Guidelines (ESGs) and the Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (CY.Q.A.A.) procedures and requirements will be considered as an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
  • Proven excellent command of the English and Greek language
