CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an expanding Consulting Firm offering services in the areas of Blockchain, Cryptography, Data Science and Business Intelligence, we are seeking to recruit a Junior Software Engineer to join their team based in Limassol. No practical working experience is necessary, although a relevant academic background in Computer Science/Engineering is a must and a Master’s Degree will be considered an advantage. The successful applicant will work as part of an established Software Engineering team and will have the opportunity to learn and develop their skills with various core programming languages. Excellent communication skills in English are a must.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Development Manager with all aspects of software design and coding.
• Attending and contributing to company development meetings.
• Learning the codebase and improving your coding skills.
• Writing and maintaining code.
• Working on minor bug fixes.
• Monitoring the technical performance of internal systems.
• Responding to requests from the development team.
• Gathering information from consumers about program functionality.
• Writing reports.
• Conducting development tests.

Key Skills/Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Mathematics from a top-tier University. A Master’s degree will be considered as a plus.
• Knowledge of basic coding languages including Java, C/C++, .NET, HTML5 and JavaScript.
• Basic programming experience.
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented.
• Fluency in English (Written & Spoken).
• Ability to live and work in Cyprus.
