Job Overview

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding International Group of Companies with office in Limassol, we are seeking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful applicant will primarily be responsible for carrying out key duties relating to both the Accounts Payable as well as Accounts Receivable functions of the Group and will ideally be working towards the ACCA/ACA accounting qualification. You will possess approximately 2-3+ years of relevant experience within a similar accounting position with a keen eye for detail.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable Focus:

  • Ensuring local management accounts (Revenue & Accounts Receivable) are processed accurately and timely on a monthly basis and submitted within the agreed upon group reporting deadlines.
  • Entering customer details (Customer Information, Creation, Invoicing and Pricing) into our accounting system.
  • Reviewing and aligning internal controls of the Group and recommending any improvements.
  • Liaising with the Group Account Management team to assure timely Revenue recognition according to IFRS.
  • Working with HQ Accountants to assist with the monthly group financial close process.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc finance reports by maintaining a data oriented mindset to help the Company make data-driven commercial decisions.
  • Lead or assist in other accounting/analytical procedures to expand your level of knowledge and expertise to grow with the company. e.g. payroll, stocktaking, variance analysis, budgeting, etc.

  • Entering purchase details (Vendor Information, Creation, Invoicing and Pricing) into our accounting system.
  • Reviewing and aligning internal controls of the Group and recommending any improvements.
  • Coordinating with the Warehouse Manager (WM) on regular inventory audits and reporting on audit findings. Inventory checks must be performed both from system to inventory and vice versa.
  • Communicating with the company’s buyers and WM to ensure purchases do not exceed budget and recommending improvements to the process.
  • Preparing and/or reviewing AP & Inventory trends reports for Management.
  • Assisting with ad-hoc finance reports by maintaining a data oriented mindset to help the Company make data-driven commercial decisions.
  • Lead or assist in other accounting/analytical procedures to expand your level of knowledge and expertise to grow with the company. e.g. payroll, stocktaking, variance analysis, budgeting, etc.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • University Degree (finance, accounting, economics preferred).
  • Ideally 2-3+ years of relevant Financial Accounting experience within a similar role.
  • Ideally working towards the ACA/ACCA Qualification, but this is not essential.
  • Good communications skills, resilient, critical thinker.
  • Driven, can demonstrate high effectiveness when working with other departments, proactive.
  • Must have attention to detail, however balance the requirements for processes to be effective and robust.
