Job Overview
A full time finance role in a fast growing office, working alongside the global finance function of a leading international offshore law firm. The Accountant is an integral part of the Finance Team mainly supporting the Cayman/BVI that is responsible for maintaining an efficient and accurate finance function within the Law services. The Accountant is accountable for processing, analysing and monitoring transactions to ensure they are recorded in accordance with the firm policy and financial reporting requirements.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and reconciling a wide variety of financial transactions including revenue/billing, allocating cash receipts, bank accounts, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger
- Working hours 12 pm to 9pm
- Flexible to work from home
- Liaising with different global teams to resolve unidentified receipts
- Timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations and third party disbursements
- Improve processes and ensure consistency to be in compliance with Company practices
- Work proactively to enhance the accuracy of the Firm’s financial reporting and meet set deadlines
- Assist with special projects as required
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field desirable.
- Significant experience working in a similar role within finance
- Accounting qualification or equivalent desirable but not essential
- Experience in preparing reconciliations
ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Knowledge and experience of accounting systems and applications
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent project management and organization skills
- Ability to cope under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong teamwork skills
