Job Overview
Responsibilities:
- Member of Core IP Networks team
- Participate and contribute in network planning, design, implementation, operation, optimization, and maintenance of the IP/MPLS network and DDoS mitigation infrastructure
- Participate and contribute to other teams for the planning, designing, implementation, operation, optimization, and maintenance of underline Layer 1,2 and 3 networks
- Assist B2B pre-sales team with requirements and designs involving connectivity, L2VPN’s, L3VPN’s and other customer services
- Participate in identifying Network threats and mitigating Denial of Service attacks
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders ensuring that all requirements are captured, designed, and implemented on time
- Review and assist in the creation of dashboards, reports, and network KPI’s for reporting to management
- Work closely with platform vendor(s) for network evolution and support
- Participate in scheduled and emergency maintenance activities and escalation list
- Participate in Network & Security Incidence response team
- Contribute to the documentation and trainings of network infrastructure and handover to the network operations center.
- Provide Level 2 support to the Network Operation Centre (NOC) for Network & security incidents
- Reports directly to the IP & Transport Networks Manager
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Telecommunications & Networks
- At least 2 years of industry experience in large-scale Enterprise or ISP Networks
- Hands-on experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols in various platforms (BGP, OSPF, LACP, VRRP, VRFs, etc.)
- Experience in DDoS mitigation platforms such as Arbor and experience with virtual platforms and Linux will be considered an advantage
- CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or any other relevant certificate will be considered an advantage
- Effective communication skills
- Good organizational and prioritization skills
- Exceptionally good knowledge of both English and Greek language
