Job Overview

CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an International Hotel & Commercial Real Estate Investment Group with operations across Europe, we are seeking to recruit Cash Flow & Budget Controllers to join their expanding team based in Cyprus. The successful applicants will primarily be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of budget control files for various real estate projects under development and will provide key support to the Group’s Chief Engineer and Payments Manager. Any previous experience working within the Construction, Real Estate and/or Hospitality sectors will be considered an advantage, but not essential. Excellent communication skills in both Greek & English are essential. Fully remote working conditions are in place with these roles within Cyprus.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of budget control files for the projects under development in coordination with the Group’s Chief Engineer and Payments Manager.
  • Weekly monitoring of budget control files for the projects under development through timely and accurate documentation of possible changes in coordination with the group’s Chief Engineer and after approval by the Payments Manager.
  • Timely update of budget control files and cash flow for the projects under development with approved and executed payments.
  • Monthly control of the budget for the projects under development by reference to each project’s stage of completion and timely tracking and reporting any deviations and/or overruns.
  • Constant monitoring of funds adequacy in line with upcoming contractual payments including loan payments, payments to authorities, landlords and contractors.
  • Supervision and finalisation of payment lists prepared by the Cash Flow & Budget Controller Assistant in Greece and presentation to the group’s Payment Manager for overview prior sending to the group’s Partners for approval.
  • Preparation of budget and cash flow reports summarizing the status of the projects under development as required by the Management and the group’s Partners.
  • Maintain accurate physical and digital filing record, in line with the requirements of the tax authorities, of all invoices, agreements and other relevant documentation to support the budget and cash flow reports.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting & Finance or other relevant qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Budgeting is a must.
  • Proficiency in excel is a must.
  • Previous experience in similar position and in particular the construction, hospitality, or real estate sectors will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluency in English and Greek is a must.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise across multiple tasks is a must.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work remotely both independently and as part of the team.
