Job Overview
CareerFinders, on behalf of our client, an established and expanding International Group of Companies, we are seeking to recruit a Payment Operations Specialist to join their team based in Limassol. The successful applicant will work as part of a busy team preparing and initiating payments based on relevant schedules and approval limits. You will have some previous experience within a similar banking and/or payments related position and ideally have knowledge of local banking systems and solutions. Excellent communication skills in English are a must.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preparing and initiating payments based on payment schedule and approval limits.
- Providing payment support to the relevant parties and communicating with the banks/solutions if necessary.
- Recording expenses by department and reporting on potential overreaching of limits.
- Checking on fees charged by banks/PSPs and making sure proper alignment is in place.
- Providing feedback on current payment malfunctions/delays for improvement.
- Handling and managing physical money and maintaining a petty-cash report.
- Maintaining a balanced and effective relationship within the group with all the departments and units.
- Performing other related treasury duties as requested.
Key Skills/Experience:
- Experience in a similar or related position.
- Understanding of local/global banking standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of local/global banking institution systems and payment solutions.
- Knowledge of ERP Microsoft Dynamics NAV, as well as awareness of advanced and innovative solutions, will be considered as an advantage.
- Able to maintain effective working relationships with banks/solutions.
- Self-motivation and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Initiative/ambition to develop professionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and strong numeracy skills.
- Fluent in English.
